Kaku Comes to Speak on Campus

World renowned theoretical physicist Dr. Michio Kaku will be visiting the Chattanooga State campus on January 23, 2014 for and informal question and answer session in the humanities theater and also for a formal presentation titled “Physics of the Future”, in the Health and Fitness Center (gym). Dr. Kaku is an educator, author, radio and television show host as well as a highly valued worldwide consultant.

For the past 25 years, Dr. Kaku has been a member of the faculty at the City College of New York where he teaches theoretical physics. He attended Harvard University and graduated summa cum laude in 1968 with a Bachelor of Science in physics. Later, he continued his education at the University of California at Berkeley where he earned his Ph.D. in 1972.

The radio shows that Dr. Kaku hosts, Science Fantastic and Explorations in Science, are nationally syndicated. The television show he hosts, Sci Fi Science, airs on the Discovery Channel and he explores the realm of technologies in science fiction. His informal question and answer session will be free to all Chattanooga State students as well as his formal presentation.
