Mid-March deadline nears for April’s Student Research Symposium.
The symposium is an event to showcase all the hard work students have done over the course of the semester, and how it relates to their future goals. This event is open to the community and to all students at Chattanooga State.
The symposium is an equal opportunity for all students attending Chattanooga State. Cassandra Nice said that this event is, “not just limited to scientific research, they also have writing students for service learning, and this year one of the animation professors is having his students showcase.”
Past Student Research Symposiums showcased a wide range of student work. Therefore, students are free to present whatever they like.
Nice said that it’s, “broad and we like to keep it that way.”
The deadline to apply is March 13, 2018. Those selected for the symposium showcase will be notified by March 26, 2018.
The Student Research Symposium is scheduled for April 10, 2018, 12:00 – 1:00 p.m., in OMNI 124, 126, and surrounding hallways.
The symposium is being sponsored by the Donald F. Andrews Reading and Writing Center, Student Support Center, Center for Academic Research and Excellence, and the Bookstore.
Nice said that she loves the symposium because “its something so new and evolves each year.” For additional information, contact, Cassie Nice or Dr. Eric Niemi or by clicking HERE.
