Student Support Center: Finished the Semester Strong
By: Victoria Mastrocola, contributing writer
The Student Support center is an amazing thing to have on campus. In my case, the SSC helped me in various ways. Being a first time freshmen was not easy for me to adjust to. The classes and the professors overwhelmed me, and I started to fall behind. I needed advice and assistance so I decided to visit Kellie in the SSC, and she was more than happy to help me get things back on track. She helped me find my teacher’s office so I could communicate with him about class information. Kellie arranged tutoring for me so that I could pass my midterm exam. Because of the SSC’s recourses and support, I was able to finish the semester strong with a 3.4 GPA. If you’re struggling to keep up with your classes or if you feel as though you’re ready to quit, remember that there are people who are willing to help you go to whatever lengths needed to succeed in your college experience. These people are in the Student Support Center. Stop by today – now located in IMC 124.
