What are your plans for the summer? Some sort of trip or vacation? That would be nice. Probably not realistic though as a college student drowning in student loans. You will probably work part time or even take summer classes. None of these would be as beneficial as a summer internship. Especially a summer internship in your field of study. You would gain experience in the field you want to work in after school. When it comes to applying for jobs after school, experience will win out over that degree four out of five times.
You may be asking where you can find these internships. You don’t have to look very far. Chattanooga State has their own Career Service and Counseling Center. They will give you job search advice, help with your resume, and interview tips. All of this can be found at https://www.chattanoogastate.edu/student-support/careers/job-search. UTC also has a webpage with paid and unpaid internships for the summer and all year-round. Those can be found at http://www.utc.edu/career-student-employment/job-postings/part-time-off-campus.php.
So take advantage of this opportunity and get a head start on your path to a successful career.
