WTCI launches new 24/7 children’s channel

WTCI announced that on January 16th they will be introducing a free kids’ channel which will be broadcasted 24/7 and live-streamed on the PBS Kids video app and website.

Kids will have access to shows like Wild Kratts and Dinosaur Train at times that most other children’s channels don’t offer. In an effort to reach today’s kids, the PBS shows will be available anywhere and anytime that kids access media. The new channel will also include games on the mobile app which will complement each show.

President and CEO of Chattanooga’s Public Television Station, Paul Grove, was quoted saying, “WTCI has been an integral part of the community for over 45 years, delivering content and services that parents trust and that move the needle in early learning…We are excited to build on the work we do every day for Chattanooga area families by adding these new 24/7 services to our offerings, ensuring that our proven educational content is accessible anytime and anywhere to all kids – especially those who need it the most.” WTCI plans on making the live stream available on platforms such as Roku, Apple TV, Xbox One, Android TV, and Chromecast.
