Light at the End of the Tunnel
By Caleb Fowler
Recently, people are finally starting to see a light at the end of the pandemic tunnel.
The Covid-19 vaccines are a game changer and will help everyone return to some sense of normality, which has been sought after for so long.
But there are still a lot of questions and concerns that people have about the vaccine, about its effectiveness, or how to even schedule an appointment.
According to the CDC’s official website, it stresses that “vaccines currently approved for use in the United States are effective at preventing COVID-19.”
Also, according to the CDC’s website, 128 million doses of the vaccine have been administered, with many more doses well on the way.
540,000 people have been lost due to Covid-19, but the vaccine is a good way to stop further loss of life.
Getting a vaccine has been challenging for fellow classmates, “It was incredibly difficult, especially considering I only heard it was time for phase 1-c by word of mouth a week or so after it had started. After that, it took weeks to finally get an appointment since everyplace I checked was booked up or out of doses,” said Nadia, a Chattanooga State student.
Let’s hope as vaccines become more and more common in the United States, the process becomes easier and more streamlined as we go.
